A group of young women who have all battled breast cancer came together to organise a fundraising ball in Coleshill last week.
Jane Niven was one of the organisers of the event, held on Friday 17th May at the Cameo Suite, Coleshill Hotel.
She told the Post:
“Myself and a fabulous group of young women have all fought breast cancer. We met during our treatment and have formed a fabulous group – we call ourselves ‘The Lovely Ladies’. We meet monthly and have become firm friends. We decided we wanted to put something back in, so from this grew our Butterfly Ball.
Our event has raised around £5,700 – we are still counting. We are splitting the money between three charities – Breakthrough, The Cancer Support Centre Sutton Coldfield and Breast Friends Sutton Coldfield. It was an amazing evening and we are incredibly grateful to the wonderful support we received.”
